An annual garden fete will take place in St Leonards on September 7.
St Matthew’s Gardens Fete will be held in the gardens located between Sedlescombe Road South and London Road between 2-5pm. Mayor Bruce Dowling will open the event. It will include Open Mic, bring own instruments, books, CDs, DVDs and computer game stalls, children’s games, lucky dip, hook-a-duck, egg and spoon race, sack race and petanque. The ever-popular home-made cake and refreshment stand will be offering a choice of sweet and savoury treats. There will be prizes to be won including massages, vouchers and wine in the tombola and grand raffle. Anyone who guesses the correct weight of a special cake will be able to take it home. In the event of inclement weather, the fête will be moved to St Matthew’s Church Hall opposite the gardens. For further information contact Gaby Hill at: stmatthewsgardens@hotmail.co.uk.
