Teams battled it out once again at the third annual It’s a Knockout fundraising event in Horntye Park on Saturday (September 27).

More than 20 groups participated in the wacky and fun challenge in the name of charity.

Paramedic Tim Hodgson organised the action-packed event due to its popularity and to raise money for the Sara Lee Trust.

The charity, based in Upper Maze Hill, St Leonards, provides complementary therapies, counselling and creative therapies to people in Hastings and Rother living through cancer and other serious illness.

During the fundraiser teams participated in eight games which involved jumping through large inflatables, as well as taking part in other bazaar obstacle courses in order to battle it out for the title of Knockout Champions.

Other entertainment for the cheering crowds included funfair swings, a bouncy castle and a bungee run along with a full bar, food and live music from the Do They’s.

The first It’s a Knockout tournament took place in July 2012 which drew in the crowds and raised thousands of pounds for charity despite bad weather. It proved so popular a second event was organised by Mr Hodgson in September last year in aid of the Sara Lee Trust.
