NHS workers across 1066 Country, including nurses, midwives and ambulance staff, begun a four-hour strike this morning at 7am (Monday).
Scores of workers picketed outside the Conquest Hospital and the ambulance station in Bohemia Road.
Workers from six trade unions are taking part.
Trade unions want a one per centpay rise for all NHS staff, but the Government has said the proposal would cost too much.
