An evening of burlesque cabaret and aduly only stories will be returning this year as part of Hastings Storytelling Festival.
The Velvet Curtain proved so popular last year, organisers decided to bring it back.
Mandy Curtis, director of 18 Hours Ltd, which is organising the festival, said: “We were delighted to see so many people dressed up in cabaret and burlesque outfits and our host will again distribute saucy prizes for the best dressed. Last year was an absolute success. The tickets were sold out and this year’s acts promise to be even more brilliant.”
On Friday, November 14 at 7.30pm, the Assembly Rooms at the Masonic Hall, St Leonards will be transformed to host an evening of tantalising, teasing tales. Strictly for over 18s this night of burlesque glamour, wit and outrageous entertainment will be compered by Crimson Skye who has performed for Alice Cooper.
Performances include Robin Sweet, Rosy Carrick and Brigitte Aphrodite, aerial and poi dancers from Hastings Guerrilla Circus and an energetic Can Can by Les Ooh La Las! The night ends with Transylvanian Gypsy Tripp-Hop music from Hastings’ own Ingrid Pitt Orchestra, drinks from the bar and DJ Niki.
Advance tickets are available from the Tourist Information Centre and SHOP, Norman Road. For more information and to book tickets online, visit: www.hastingsstoryfest.org.uk.
