THE SUSSEX Wildlife Trust is holding a competition to choose images for its 2013 online calendar. After the success of last year’s calendar, the Trust is asking people to send in photographs. The theme this year is Window on Wildlife and the subject can be anything ranging from the hedgehog in your back garden to butterflies in the park.
Judges are looking for 12 superb photographs capturing Sussex wildlife and the wild places where it lives. It can anything you could see from a window – at home, at your office, out of a car or a train.
First prize is a weekend for two from Woodland Skills, staying in a yurt in a Sussex woodland. Winners can also enjoy nature awareness sessions and learn bushcraft skills. Runner up receives a £100 cash prize from The Ecology Consultancy. The winning 12 photographs will also feature in an online calendar and Wildlife magazine. People can enter up to three images in landscape format. The final 12 will be selected by judges and the overall winner will be chosen by public vote.
