A Peacehaven driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a teenager died on Friday (November 28), the day after a collision in Brighton.
Alex Jackson, 19, from Brighton, died after a collision between a BMW and Skoda in Warren Road, Brighton, on November 27.
He was a passenger in the BMW. Two other passengers in the car are being treated for serious injuries - an 18-year-old Brighton woman at the Royal Sussex County Hospital and a Brighton man, aged 22, at St George’s Hospital, London.
The 26-year-old man from Brighton driving the Skoda suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the BMW, aged 29, from Peacehaven, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and bailed to January 22.
Officers wish to speak to anyone who saw the collision or who saw either of the vehicles being driven in the minutes beforehand.
