The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for the area around Cuckmere River.
With heavy rainfall this morning (January 8), and a further 10mm of rain expected this afternoon, the Environment Agency issued the alert.
“River levels along the upper reaches of the Cuckmere are rising quickly and are expected to rise further before stabilising this afternoon,” said an Environment Agency spokesman.
“Flooding may be possible through (but not exclusively to) Hellingly - along Station Road and Mill Lane and near Grovebridge Farm.”
