A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital last night (Friday) after a serious crash on the B2102 Lewes road.
The air ambulance was called after the accident on the B2102 between Cross in Hand and Blackboys.
The motorcyclist, from Heathfield, is believed to have come off his bike.
The road was closed for most of the evening while emergency services were at the scene and the air ambulance landed in a nearby field.
The rider suffered serious injuries and is being treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
