Motorists are being told to expect delays on the A27 this afternoon (Tuesday, July 7).
One westbound lane of the busy road has been closed in Kingston, near Lewes, because of a broken down car.
The incident, between Ashcombe roundabout and the B2123 The Drove junction, is already causing traffic queues to build up.
Motorists are being asked to avoid the area if possible.
Just two days ago, on Sunday, July 5, there was chaos on the roads as 30ft of fallen power cables blocked the A27 for around seven hours.
