Hastings Intercultural Organisation (HIO) held their annual football tournament on Sunday (September 6) in Alexandra Park, Hastings.
The tournament, organised by HIO with support from Hastings Borough Council’s Street Games brings key local partners together with communities from many different backgrounds.
David Zaaroura, chair of HIO said: “All teams played with a determination to win and congratulations to the winning team, the Bengal Cubs. Thanks must go to Cllr Dawn Poole and the Mayor, Cllr Bruce Dowling for attending the tournament and demonstrating their firm support to the communities of this tolerant and vibrant town.”
Cllr Dawn Poole, the council’s lead member for leisure, said: “Congratulations must go to the Bengal Cubs who were the triumphant overall winners and very well done to all those who took part in this fantastic event.”
