Emergency crews attended Beachy Head this afternoon (Wednesday July 17) after reports a car had plunged over the cliffs.
The incident happened at around 2pm.
Police, fire fighters and paramedics attended the scene after reports that a car had gone over the cliff face.
A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: “Officers and coastguard have been informed. The vehicle has been located but the coastguard and fire service have been unable to get to it because of its position and the incoming tide.
At this time we are unable to confirm how many occupants were in the vehicle.”
