Lewes Chamber of Commerce held its first Chamber breakfast last week, hosted by Riverside Brasserie in the town’s Riverside Centre.

The event was the brainchild of Chamber President David Clark, who felt it would be a great way for members to get to know each other better and build stronger business relationships. It would also allow non-members a chance of find out more about what the Chamber does and how it helps local businesses.

The event was very relaxed and informal, with 12 attendees, including two new members , and a range of local business types covered including solicitors, accountants, jewellery sales, car valeting, architects, website design and audio transcription service.

The Riverside Brasserie ensured everyone was well fed, with a wide selection of choices. Mr Clark said: “I am delighted that our first event was such a success, I look forward to welcoming existing and new members at the next event.”

The next breakfast meeting will be at the same venue on October 31 at 7am. The cost is £10. Anyone interested in attending should contact secretary@leweschamber.org.uk
