A woman will be the Conservative party candidate to contest the Lewes constituency in the 2015 General Election.
She will be chosen from the four contenders remaining from the original 21 applicants before the selection process began.
They are Selaine Saxby, who runs a sports bra business; Anna Firth, a councillor serving on Sevenoaks District Council; Maria Caulfield, a nurse at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London; and Michelle Lowe, who is also a councillor on Sevenoaks District Council.
Members of Lewes Conservative Association will select the Tory hopeful when they vote at a Special General Meeting on December 7.
Lewes MP Norman Baker, with a majority of 7,647, has been unanimously re-selected by the constituency Lib Dem party to contest the election.
