Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died in a crash on the A27 last night (Thursday, August 6).
The 31-year-old man collided with a tractor and a trailer on the A27 at Ashcombe, near Lewes, at around 6.30pm.
The man, riding a Kawasaki, was travelling east. He suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the JCB Backhoe tractor, aged 20, was shocked but uninjured.
The A27 eastbound was closed for five hours between Falmer and Lewes while emergency services were at the scene, and traffic was diverted via Rottingdean, Newhaven and Beddingham.
